Therapeutic Approach

Cognitive-Behavioral Therapy (CBT) is a practical, structured approach that helps identify and change patterns of thought and behavior that cause emotional distress. Backed by scientific evidence, it teaches strategies to manage anxiety, depression, phobias, compulsions, and other disorders. The focus is on the present and on building skills so individuals can better manage their emotions, face challenges, and create real change in their lives.

Frequently Asked Questions

Everything you need to know before booking your session.

What is psychotherapy and how can it help me?

Psychotherapy is a safe and welcoming space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences. Together, we analyze patterns that may be holding you back and find healthier ways to cope and grow. Therapy can help with issues such as anxiety, stress, depression, relationship difficulties, self-esteem, and life transitions.

You can bring anything that feels important to you — big or small. Some people seek therapy during a crisis, while others want to better understand themselves or improve their relationships. There is no ‘wrong’ reason to come.

If you’re feeling stuck, overwhelmed, or simply curious to understand yourself more deeply, therapy can help. Many people find that having a safe, non-judgmental space to talk makes a big difference.

The terms are often used interchangeably, which can be confusing. Generally, psychotherapy tends to be long-term and explores deeper patterns, while counseling usually focuses on specific short-term issues. Psychology may also involve research, assessments, or clinical work. What matters most is finding the right therapist for you.

Confidentiality is a fundamental pillar of therapy. Everything we discuss stays between us, with a few exceptions required by law — for example, if there is a risk of harm to yourself or others. I will explain this clearly in our first session.

A session usually lasts 50 minutes. This gives us focused time together, while also leaving you space to process what happened afterwards.

Most people come weekly, especially at the beginning. Regular sessions help build trust and momentum. Over time, we can review and adjust the frequency according to your needs.

It depends on your goals and personal situation. Some people come for just a few sessions to work through a specific issue, while others find that ongoing therapy provides support for deeper growth. We will review progress together regularly.

The first session is for us to get to know each other. You’ll have the chance to share what brought you to therapy, and I will explain how I work. It’s also an opportunity for you to see if you feel comfortable with me — because the relationship is key.

Yes, I offer both. Online sessions can be a flexible and accessible option, while in-person sessions provide a different kind of presence. You can choose what works best for you, or even combine the two.

Payment is made in advance through the Fresha app, in a simple and secure way, when booking your session.

I kindly ask that you give at least 24 hours’ notice if you need to cancel or reschedule your session. Cancellations with shorter notice may be charged in full.
