1 – Find a purpose
Most of us work on the automatic pilot, which keep us away from our dreams, from the things we would love to invest more time & energy in but due to the busy life, routine,we get distracted by it all and dont spend time focusing on the things we wish to be doing.
2 – Believe in your Abilities
We are all good at something! Have that in mind. You must to be good at something or have pleasure by doing/learning something,so why not investing some time to learn or/and to put it into practise? A hobby sometimes can lead to a new idea. Doing what we like gives us more fuel to deal with our daily responsabilities.
3 – Develop a Strong Social Network
Create connections! Engage with people, offer your time, listen to them,we are constantly learning and I am sure you also have a lot to offer.
4 – Embrace Change
Most of us find it hard to get out of our “comfort zone” . What I constantly hear is “ Im used to that already, why would I change”? Have you ever used that phrase? Change your mindset by changing your behavior. Challenge yourself everyday!
5 – Be Optimistic
When we exercise our mind and train it to think about the positive side of the situation/problem,we start to see change on the way we see life. When we focus on what we dont have our lives become miserable,it doesnt help, does it? Instead, focus on what you have and what lessons you can learn from this problem or situation. When we think of what we lack from ,we dont see the abundance we are surrounded of.
6 – Develop Problem-Solving Skills
How can we develop this ability? Stop, breath & ask yourself: Do I need to make the decision now? What are the consequences if I act out of impulse? Should I take some more time to process it all? The answer for these questions is yes,you definitely need. When we are at the heat of the moment we tend to say things we dont want to say,we hurt people we love,we put ourselves in trouble.
But instead,we can “sleep on it” to think more about something overnight and make a better decision, you will be more rested & capable to solve some of the problems you face in life.
7 – Establish Goals
How you see yourself in 6 months time? And in 6 years? Where would you like to be? What you want to achieve? What can be done now to make me reach my goals?
8 – Take Action
If we dont move,we wont get anywhere, right?! We are not like trees with their long and deep roots, they cant move, they are in the same place over the years, decades,. We are free to move,to go,to take action and to be in charge of our own lives and make all the necessary changes to become happier and healthier.
9 – Keep Working on Your Skills
Be consistent! Resilience may take time to build, so don’t get discouraged if you still struggle to cope with problematic events. Focus on practicing these skills, as well as the common characteristics of resilient people, but also remember to build on your existing strengths.
