How does psychotherapy works?
Psychotherapy aims to enable patients, or clients, to recognize both positive and negative feelings, and what triggers or situations can make them feel good, nervous, or depressed. This allows them to cope with difficulties in a more constructive way.
Psychotherapy helps with a diverse set of problems, including depression and low self-esteem, addiction and family quarrels. Anyone overwhelmed by daily problems and an inability to cope can benefit from psychotherapy.
The sessions occur normally once a week with the duration between 50 minutes to 1 hour. Sessions could be performed online or face to face.
The duration of the treatment vary accordingly with the patients diagnosis, it could be vary from 6 weeks to 1, 2 years.
The first few sessions the therapist collect all the significant informations about the patients health, lifestyle, relatioships, etc. After that, the therapist will adopt the right tecniques and approach to conduct this patient in his/her journey.
